Managing Microsoft Outlook-Enabled Roster Members in Align

Align admins can control whether an Align-mastered roster member should be activated with Veeva CRM’s integration with Microsoft Outlook, avoiding needing to enable this feature in CRM after Align creates the User record.

Configuring Managing Microsoft Outlook-Enabled Roster Members

To configure this feature:

1. Grant admins Edit field permission to the enable_ms_outlook_calendar__aln field on the roster_member__aln object.
2. Add the enable_ms_outlook_calendar__aln field to the appropriate roster_member__aln object page layouts.
3. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
4. Select the Gear icon next to the CRM org in the Veeva CRM section.
5. Select View Field Map.
6. Expand the Roster Member Fields section.
7. Select Describe & Edit.
8. Activate the Enable MS Outlook Calendar system field mapping.
9. Select Save.

Configuring Managing Microsoft Outlook in Align-Mastered Roster Members

To enable Microsoft Outlook in Align-mastered roster members, from the View Field Map page:

1. Select Align Objects to navigate to the outbound mappings.
2. Expand the Roster Member Fields section.
3. Select Describe & Edit.
4. Activate the Enable MS Outlook Calendar system field mapping.
5. Select Save.

Enabling Microsoft Outlook in Align-Mastered Roster Members

To enable Align-mastered roster members to integrate with Microsoft Outlook:

1. Edit to the appropriate Align-mastered roster_member__aln records.
2. Select Yes for the enable_ms_outlook_calendar__aln field.
3. Select Save.

When initially configuring this feature, ensure Yes is selected for all Align-mastered roster members currently enabled to integrate with MS Outlook. Leaving this field blank or undefined results in a value of No and disables the integration when pushed to Veeva CRM.
