Requiring Challenge Reasons

Admins can require a challenge reason be selected whenever an end user makes a certain type of challenge during Territory Feedback. This enables greater control over the feedback process by requiring end users to provide a reason for their challenge.

For example, Sarah Jones is providing feedback on changes to her territory. She notices Clinton Ackerman was removed as a target from her account. She provides feedback on the removal and selects Add Target as the challenge. She tries to submit the challenge without selecting a challenge reason, but Add Target is marked as requiring a reason, so an error displays. She selects High Priority for the challenge reason and submits her feedback.

To mark a challenge type as requiring a challenge reason:

1. Navigate to the Align Settings.
2. Select the appropriate challenge types in the Reason Required multi-select picklist.
3. Select Save.
