What's New in 23R2.0

The Align 23R2.0 release includes brief, high-level descriptions of enhancements, new features, and more.

User Visible and Behavior Changes

CRM Integration

  • The CRM Managed? column now displays in the Roster Member Fields table in outbound field mappings

  • The help text at the top of the Roster Member Outbound Field Mapping page was updated to accommodate CRM Managed Roster Member Fields.

General

  • Users can now search on any field across the Entity, Targeting, Rules, Align Admin and Modeling tabs in Align. Search ranking is improved to give additional weight to the Name field, exact matches, and matches on multiple attributes.

Territory Feedback

  • To enable easier navigation on the iPad, the following items in the Edit Alignment table are updated:
  • The Select button is now to the left of the search bar
  • The Submit button replaces the More Actions menu

  • The Back to Dashboard button is now at the top left corner of the page

  • The Edit Alignment table in Territory Feedback now includes the Add/Drop column. This column automatically reflects accounts being adding or removed from the territory.

  • The Adds and Drops widgets are combined into the new Assignment Changes widget. See Using the Assignment Changes Widget for more information.

  • Managers using Manager Feedback can now select total goal metrics on the Territories screen to display the Accounts screen pre-filtered for the selected metric

  • The default labels for the following objects were updated:
  • approval_rule__aln – Updated to Model Feedback Approval Rule
  • approval_rule_criteria__aln – Updated to Model Feedback Approval Rule Criterion
  • The Territory Import, Field Force Import, and Model Import processes now include records of the following objects:
  • approval_rule__aln – Import as approval_rule_prod__aln records
  • approval_rule_criteria__aln – Import as approval_rule_criteria_prod__aln records

CRM Integration

CRM Managed Roster Member Fields in Align

Admins can update the field mappings between the roster_member__aln object in Align and the User object in CRM to designate specific fields as being managed by CRM. This is useful when combining Align-mastered roster_member__aln records fields that are dependent on the CRM user’s inputted, for example time zone.

Territory Feedback

Using the Assignment Changes Widget

The Assignment Changes widget in Territory Feedback on the iPad enables end users to quickly view how many accounts were added or dropped from their territory in the upcoming cycle.

Importing Approval Rules into Modeling and Production

Approval Rules and their criteria are included in the publishing process from modeling into production, as well as the import process from production to modeling. This enables admins to avoid manually recreating Approval Rules before every feedback period of an upcoming cycle, since they can import the production Approval Rules when creating the model project.

Using the crmUserId Attribute in Territory Feedback via MyInsights

Customers using MyInsights visualizations in Territory Feedback can utilize the crmUserId attribute returned by the getFeedbackData() response.
