What's New in 23R2.2

The Align 23R2.2 release includes brief, high-level descriptions of enhancements, new features, and more.

User Visible and Behavior Changes

General

  • A Notification Bell now displays throughout Align in the top-right corner of the page, enabling Align admins to receive and read notifications when certain events in Align occur. See Using the Notification Bell for more information.

CRM Integration

  • The following fields on the following objects are now available for mapping to fields in CRM:
  • mc_cycle__aln
  • cycle_capacity__aln
  • days_in_cycle__aln
  • days_off_cycle__aln

Territory Feedback

  • The Add/Drop column now displays information regarding adds to or drops from the territory. By default, the column sorts in ascending alphabetical order based on the following categories:

    • In-Territory Section, all rows sort alphabetically by name
    • Accounts with no add or drop status
    • Account Added
    • Target Added*
    • Target Dropped*
    • Out of Territory, all rows sort alphabetically by name
    • Account Dropped
    • Target Dropped*

    * Only displays in the list if Configuring Viewing Target Changes is complete.

  • Updates to target__aln fields of mc_cycle_plan_target__aln records now import from CRM for the current active cycle plan. These updates also apply if two accounts that are also targets are merged. When this happens, the following updates occur:

    • The target__aln field of the mc_cycle_plan_target__aln record associated with the losing account updates to instead reference the winning account
    • The mc_cycle_plan_target__aln record associated with the losing account is inactivated

    • The external_id__aln field of mc_cycle_plan_target__aln record associated with the losing account is appended with the following:

      ::MergedWith::<CRM.Target.Id of the Winning Account>

Using the Notification Bell

A Notification Bell displays throughout Align in the top-right corner of the page. Selecting this icon displays a notification panel that enables admins to receive and read notifications when certain Align events occur, for example, the completion of data loads or configuration reports.

Territory Feedback

Approving Location-Based Challenges in Integrated Territory Feedback

Managers reviewing challenges and changes to upcoming MC Cycles with Location Based Targeting enabled can approve and reject pending challenges made by end users, as well as submit challenges of their own. This enables managers to participate in the greater specificity in the planning process offered by Location Based Targeting.

Using the Assignment Changes Widget to View Target Changes

The Assignment Changes widget in Territory Feedback on the iPad is updated to enable end users to quickly view how many accounts and targets were added or dropped from their territory in the upcoming cycle.

Updates to the getFeedbackData() MyInsights Method

Customers using MyInsights visualizations in Territory Feedback can utilize the following additional fields returned by the getFeedbackData() response:

  • addedTargets – The total number of targets added to the territory
  • droppedTargets – The total number of targets dropped from the territory
  • isAddedTarget – Designates an account as being added as a target
  • isDroppedTarget – Designates an account as being dropped as a target

When using Chromium-based web browsers, the My Tasks tray flickers when the browser zoom is not set to 100%. This is awaiting a fix from Chromium.
